She started making music at the age of 11, playing drums at her local music school. In the following year, she started taking guitar lessons as well, an instrument she never left. Since then, she continued playing in small projects, such as the tribute album to the band Dash. In 2013, he began studying Musical Composition at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Argentina), but had to return in 2015 to Brazil. At that time, she met the women who would become her bandmates in the Xanaxou project, such as Mãeana, Laura Lavieri, Giulia Drummond, Camila Costa, among others. She also met Marcello Callado and Gustavo Benjão, who would become co-producers of her first album, "Romance Modelo", released in 2017 by Selo Risco. It was also at this time that she was part of the Atelier Codorna as one of the plastic artists of the collective. After this first release, Mari played at Festival Wired, Circo Voador, Festival Path, Casa do Mancha, Audio Rebel, among other stages. From 2018, Mari began working as an audio editor doing work with journalistic podcasts, starting with Foro de Teresina, the magazine piauí. From that moment, she started working exclusively with audio, and ended up leaving authoral music aside for a while. On the other hand, she was able to direct, edit, produce excellent podcasts like Pistoleiros (Globoplay), Maniaco do Parque (Audible), Pavulagem (Spotify), Reply All (USA, Gimlet Media), among many others. However, the desire to make music has not gone away. And so, in 2024, she began recording her new album, Além da Pele. Now, she is preparing for its new release and a return to the stages. Desde então, seguiu tocando em pequenos projetos, como o disco de tributo à banda Dash. Em 2013, começou a cursar Composição Musical na Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Argentina), mas teve que voltar em 2015 ao Brasil. Nessa época, conheceu as mulheres que viriam a ser as suas companheiras de banda no projeto Xanaxou, com Mãeana, Laura Lavieri, Giulia Drummond, Camila Costa, dentre outras. Também conheceu Marcello Callado e Gustavo Benjão, que viriam a ser co-produtores do seu primeiro disco, "Romance Modelo”, lançado em 2017 pelo Selo Risco. Foi também nessa época que fez parte do Atelier Codorna como uma das artistas plásticas do coletivo. Depois desse primeiro lançamento, Mari tocou no Festival Wired, Circo Voador, Festival Path, Casa do Mancha, Audio Rebel, dentre outras casas. A partir de 2018, Mari começou a trabalhar como editora de áudio fazendo trabalhos com podcasts jornalísticos, começando pelo Foro de Teresina, da revista piauí. A partir desse momento, passou a trabalhar exclusivamente com isso, e acabou deixando a música autoral de lado por um tempo. Por outro lado, pôde dirigir, editar, produzir excelentes podcasts como Pistoleiros (Globoplay), Maniaco do Parque (Audible), Pavulagem (Spotify), Reply All (USA, Gimlet Media), dentre muitos outros. No entanto, a vontade de fazer música não foi embora. E foi assim que, em 2024, começou as gravações do seu novo disco, Além da Pele. Agora, se prepara para seu novo lançamento, um retorno aos palcos e ao cenário musical autoral.
