Bamboo Tent Sound Installation

The tent was proposed by artist Nathalie Harb, who thinks about shelters in public spaces through her art. The installation was made during the São João Residency in 2024. The tent was built with bamboo by artists Marina Pautry and Maira Mesquista, with a net made out of ropes inside. Ana Paula Mendez sewed the outsite structure of the piece.

Sound was an imersive long piece composed by Marianna Romano. Created with sounds captured on location by herself, Laura Zimmerman, and Veronica Cerrotta, the sounds were made to evoke a sense of discovery and relaxation. The audio piece also features a collective reading proposed by Victor Wutzki, Gabriel Edé and Antonio Sobral.
